The Sovereign Platform

1HealthAI brings computing, data governance and regulatory expertise into one coordinated environment, so users can move from an early research question to a validated AI service without navigating separate infrastructures and support teams.

Under construction
High-performance computing, sovereign data spaces and the trust sandbox connected as one platform

High-Performance Computing

Train, fine-tune and evaluate advanced models using AI-optimised European supercomputing, with specialist support for workload preparation and scaling.

  • Model training and fine-tuning
  • Performance engineering
  • Secure inference

Sovereign Data Spaces

Connect protected datasets through interoperable and governed environments. Data remains controlled by its providers while approved users collaborate across organisational boundaries.

  • Federated access
  • Data governance
  • Interoperability support

The Trust Sandbox

Test technical robustness, ethics and regulatory readiness before real-world deployment, with validation, documentation and compliance expertise.

  • Risk assessment
  • Bias and robustness testing
  • AI Act guidance

Capabilities in detail

Three capabilities, one path to deployment

01

High-Performance Computing

Train, fine-tune and evaluate advanced models on AI-optimised European supercomputing operated by CESGA. The point is not only raw capacity: most teams stall on getting a workload ready, not on running it.

Our specialists work alongside you on workload preparation, performance engineering and scaling, so that experiments that would take months on local hardware become routine.

  • WorkloadsModel training, fine-tuning, large-scale inference and simulation
  • SupportWorkload preparation, performance engineering and scaling
  • EnvironmentEuropean supercomputing infrastructure operated by CESGA
  • StatusUnder construction — capacity and access terms to be published

02

Sovereign Data Spaces

Connect protected datasets through interoperable, governed environments led by CSIC. Data remains under the control of the institution that holds it, while approved users collaborate across organisational boundaries.

This is what makes One Health research tractable: clinical, veterinary and environmental data can be analysed together without any of it changing custody.

  • ApproachFederated access to protected datasets, led by CSIC
  • ControlData providers keep custody and set the terms of use
  • InteroperabilityCommon vocabularies, provenance and audit trails
  • StatusUnder construction — onboarding process to be published

03

The Trust Sandbox

Test technical robustness, ethics and regulatory readiness before real-world deployment. The sandbox connects developers with validation, documentation and compliance expertise, in work aligned with AESIA and AEMPS.

Compliance is treated as a design input rather than a final gate, so that the evidence a regulator will ask for is generated while the system is being built.

  • PurposeEthics-by-design and regulatory validation before deployment
  • AlignmentWork aligned with AESIA and AEMPS
  • ActivitiesRisk assessment, bias and robustness testing, documentation
  • StatusUnder construction — intake process to be published

Technical specifications are not final. Hardware configuration, access conditions and service levels will be published as the platform is commissioned. Register your interest to be notified when each service opens.

How access will work

From an early question to a service in operation

  1. 01

    Assess

Bring us the question. We look at feasibility, the data you would need and the regulatory path.

  2. 02

    Build

Prepare workloads and datasets, then develop and train on the sovereign platform with engineering support.

  3. 03

    Validate

Test robustness, bias and compliance in the Trust Sandbox, generating the evidence a deployment requires.

  4. 04

    Scale

Move validated services into operation and connect with the European AI Factories network.

Register your interest in the platform

Tell us the workload, the data and the regulatory context. We will contact you as the relevant service opens.
